Chopped and Spiced – Authentic Nigerian Flavors in North York

Usually order the Lagos Shawarma with the spicy sauce and it’s the closest I’ve had to authentic Lagos Shawarma. It’s a decent serving size as well so all in all 5/5. Hope the consistency and serving size stays the same!

The shawarma is exactly like Lagos Sharwarma! And the creamy pasta!! OMG! It took me back home!! You have a loyalist now. The portions for each were also very generous and rightly so because it’s not cheap.

If you're looking for an authentic Nigerian culinary experience, Chopped and Spice is the place to be. This new restaurant has won my heart with its amazing dishes, friendly owners, and impeccable customer service. The food is an absolute delight! The jollof rice is nothing short of fantastic. It's perfectly cooked, spiced, and smokey - Naija style. And when paired it with their fried turkey, you have a match made in culinary heaven. Please give them a try!

I've been very impressed with chopped and spiced since coming across their Instagram page while doom scrolling last year. Their food is always fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared, with authentic tastes that really stands out. I've had almost everything on their menu, and I still can't pick a favourite dish because their food is that good and tasty. Their puff puff reminds me of home, and i never fail to include it in my order (if you're a big fan of the nigerian puff puff, then you'll enjoy this). I always get suya bread, fried rice, and jollof rice and honestly, it never misses. The suya bread especially is something else… I can’t even explain it, just know it tastes amazing every single time. It’s exactly like it looks in the picture, taste is great, and it feels more like home. I usually grab some every Saturday it’s become my little weekend routine. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. Definitely one of my go-to spots. Whenever i requests for extra sauca I always get it double extraHighly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of trying the beef Suya, Smokey jollof, beef shawarma and creamy Suya pasta, and it was absolutely delicious—flavorful and beautifully presented. Each bite was a testament to the chef’s skill and attention to detail. The portion sizes were generous, and I left feeling completely satisfied.
